Domain Name Registration & Website Hosting
You must have both a domain name registered and website
hosting (space for your files on a server) if you want a living,
breathing website. I highly recommend the following vendors for
these services:
www.bluehost.com - I have been
using their service since 2000 and can't say enough good about
them. Their phone has always been answered when I have called
and their employees are great at walking you through procedures.
Their price is excellent and includes nearly everything that you
could ever want for your website with a one package price.
www.fatcow.com - Many companies
that offer domain name registration will include a "parking"
page (aka, their standard marketing page until you are ready to
sign on for their real hosting package). FatCow offers a MiniMoo
plan that includes your domain name registration and will allow
you to upload a real (albeit simple), custom designed page. I
love this fact about them.
